Project Description

Looking for a quiet retreat, owners purchased 32 acres in Marvin, North Carolina. Along with the land came the 1905 Antebellum style residence, the oldest home on record in the town of Marvin. The owners wanted to restore the home’s original beauty while making it functional for their needs. PR Hughes builder and manager, Phil Hughes, worked closely with the owners throughout the custom home renovation. The goal was to keep the sense of history through careful attention to scale, proportion, detail and craftsmanship. The end result is a home that has both kept its unique historical character and become a special place to enjoy life and build memories.
